SAN SALVADOR, Oct. 15, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (American Qualifiers) : El Salvador defeated Suriname by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Salvadorans second in Group 3 with 10 points. Suriname is bottom with one point. In their last game, El Salvador will meet group leaders Costa Rica on November 19, while Suriname will face Haiti.
