MARACAIBO, Oct. 16, 2007 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina defeated Venezuela by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday night.

The result put the Argentine top of the group with 6 points. Venezuela is third with 3 points. In their next game, Argentina will meet Bolivia on November 17, while Venezuela will face Colombia.
