RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 17, 2007 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Ecuador by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday night.

The result put the Brazilians second in the group with 4 points. Ecuador is bottom with no points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Peru on November 18, while Ecuador will face Paraguay.
