SãO PAULO, Nov. 21, 2007 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Uruguay by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday night.

The result put the Brazilians second in the group with 8 points. Uruguay is 6th with 4 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Paraguay on June 15, while Uruguay will face Venezuela.
