QUITO, Nov. 21, 2007 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Ecuador defeated Peru by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Ecuadorians 8th in the group with 3 points. Peru is 9th with 2 points. In their next game, Ecuador will meet group leaders Argentina on June 15, while Peru will face Colombia.
