SANTIAGO DE CHILE, Sep. 7, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Chile by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Sunday night.

The result put the Brazilians second in the group with 12 points. Chile is 6th with 10 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Bolivia on September 10, while Chile will face Colombia.
