BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 11, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Argentina defeated Uruguay by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Saturday night.
The result put the Argentine second in the group with 16 points. Uruguay is 5th with 12 points. In their next game, Argentina will meet Chile on October 15, while Uruguay will face Bolivia.
