PORTO ALEGRE, Apr. 1, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Peru by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday night.
The result put the Brazilians second in the group with 21 points. Peru is bottom with 7 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Uruguay on June 6, while Peru will face Ecuador.
