QUITO, Apr. 1, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Ecuador tied 1-1 with Paraguay (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Paraguayans top of the group with 24 points. Ecuador is 7th with 14 points. In their next game, Paraguay will meet third-placed Chile on June 6, while Ecuador will face Peru.
