ASUNCIóN, Jun. 6, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Chile defeated Paraguay by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Saturday night.
The result put the Paraguayans second in the group with 24 points. Chile is third with 23 points. In their next game, Paraguay will meet group leaders Brazil on June 10, while Chile will face Bolivia.
