MONTEVIDEO, Jun. 6, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Uruguay by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Brazilians top of the group with 24 points. Uruguay is 5th with 17 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet second-placed Paraguay on June 10, while Uruguay will face Venezuela.
