RECIFE, Jun. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Paraguay by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday night.
The result put the Brazilians top of the group with 27 points. Paraguay is third with 24 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Argentina on September 5, while Paraguay will face Bolivia.
