MEDELLIN, Jun. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Colombia defeated Peru by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday night.
The result put the Colombians 7th in the group with 17 points. Peru is bottom with 7 points. In their next game, Colombia will meet Ecuador on September 5, while Peru will face Uruguay.
