ROSARIO, Sep. 5, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Argentina by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Saturday night.
The result put the Brazilians top of the group with 30 points. Argentina is fourth with 22 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet second-placed Chile on September 9, while Argentina will face Paraguay.
