LA PAZ, Sep. 9, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Ecuador defeated Bolivia by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the Ecuadorians fourth in the group with 23 points. Bolivia is 9th with 12 points. In their next game, Ecuador will meet Uruguay on October 10, while Bolivia will face Brazil.
