SALVADOR DE BAHIA, Sep. 9, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Brazil defeated Chile by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday night.
The result put the Brazilians top of the group with 33 points. Chile is third with 27 points. In their next game, Brazil will meet Bolivia on October 11, while Chile will face Colombia.
