ASUNCIóN, Sep. 9, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (South American Qualifiers) : Paraguay defeated Argentina by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Wednesday night.
The result put the Paraguayans second in the group with 30 points. Argentina is 5th with 22 points. In their next game, Paraguay will meet Venezuela on October 10, while Argentina will face Peru.
