WELLINGTON, Nov. 21, 2007 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Oceania Qualifiers) : New Zealand defeated Vanuatu by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Second Round) on Wednesday night.
The result put the New Zealander top of the group with 9 points. Vanuatu is bottom with no points. In their next game, New Zealand will meet second-placed New Caledonia on September 6, while Vanuatu will face New Caledonia.
