NOUMEA, Jun. 21, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (Oceania Qualifiers) : New Caledonia defeated Vanuatu by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup (Second Round) on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the New Caledonians second in the group with 8 points. Vanuatu is bottom with one point. In their next game, New Caledonia will meet group leaders New Zealand on September 6, while Vanuatu will face the Fiji.
