TIRANA, Sep. 10, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Albania defeated Malta by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Albanians top of Group 1 with 4 points. Malta is bottom with no points. In their next game, Albania will meet Hungary on October 11, while Malta will face Denmark.
