GOTHENBURG, Jun. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Sweden defeated Malta by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Swedish fourth in Group 1 with 9 points. Malta is bottom with one point. In their next game, Sweden will meet second-placed Hungary on September 5, while Malta will face Sweden.
