TA' QALI, Sep. 9, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Sweden defeated Malta by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Swedish second in Group 1 with 15 points. Malta is bottom with one point. In their next game, Sweden will meet group leaders Denmark on October 10, while Malta will face Portugal.
