LISBON, Oct. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Portugal defeated Hungary by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Portuguese second in Group 1 with 16 points. Hungary is fourth with 13 points. In their last game, Portugal will meet Malta on October 14, while Hungary will face Denmark.
