GENEVA, Apr. 1, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Switzerland defeated Moldova by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Swiss top of Group 2 with 13 points. Moldova is bottom with one point. In their next game, Switzerland will meet second-placed Greece on September 5, while Moldova will face Luxembourg.
