BASEL, Sep. 5, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Switzerland defeated Greece by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Swiss top of Group 2 with 16 points. Greece is second with 13 points. In their next game, Switzerland will meet third-placed Latvia on September 9, while Greece will face Moldova.
