SERRAVALLE, Oct. 11, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Slovakia defeated San Marino by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Slovak second in Group 3 with 6 points. San Marino is bottom with no points. In their next game, Slovakia will meet group leaders Poland on October 15, while San Marino will face Northern Ireland.
