BELFAST, Oct. 15, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Northern Ireland defeated San Marino by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.

The result put the Irish fourth in Group 3 with 4 points. San Marino is bottom with no points. In their next game, Northern Ireland will meet San Marino on February 11, while San Marino will face Czech republic.
