BELFAST, Sep. 9, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Slovakia defeated Northern Ireland by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Slovak top of Group 3 with 19 points. Northern Ireland is second with 14 points. In their next game, Slovakia will meet Slovenia on October 10, while Northern Ireland will face Czech republic.
