MARIBOR, Sep. 9, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Slovenia defeated Poland by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Slovenians second in Group 3 with 14 points. Poland is 5th with 11 points. In their next game, Slovenia will meet group leaders Slovakia on October 10, while Poland will face Czech republic.
