VADUZ, Apr. 1, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Russia defeated Liechtenstein by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Russians second in Group 4 with 12 points. Liechtenstein is bottom with one point. In their next game, Russia will meet third-placed Finland on June 10, while Liechtenstein will face Finland.
