HELSINKI, Jun. 6, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Finland defeated Liechtenstein by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Finnish third in Group 4 with 10 points. Liechtenstein is bottom with one point. In their next game, Finland will meet second-placed Russia on June 10, while Liechtenstein will face Russia.
