BAKU, Aug. 12, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Germany defeated Azerbaijan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Germans top of Group 4 with 19 points. Azerbaijan is 5th with one point. In their next game, Germany will meet Azerbaijan on September 9, while Azerbaijan will face Finland.
