HANOVER, Sep. 9, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Germany defeated Azerbaijan by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Germans top of Group 4 with 22 points. Azerbaijan is bottom with one point. In their next game, Germany will meet second-placed Russia on October 10, while Azerbaijan will face Liechtenstein.
