HELSINKI, Oct. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Finland defeated Wales by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday afternoon.
The result put the Finnish third in Group 4 with 17 points. Wales is fourth with 9 points. In their last game, Finland will meet group leaders Germany on October 14, while Wales will face Liechtenstein.
