MOSCOW, Oct. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Germany defeated Russia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Germans top of Group 4 with 25 points. Russia is second with 21 points. In their last game, Germany will meet third-placed Finland on October 14, while Russia will face Azerbaijan.
