YEREVAN, Oct. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Spain defeated Armenia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.

The result put the Spaniard top of Group 5 with 27 points. Armenia is bottom with 4 points. In their last game, Spain will meet second-placed Bosnia and Herzegovina on October 14, while Armenia will face Turkey.
