TóRSHAVN, Jun. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Serbia defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday night.
The result put the Serbians top of Group 7 with 18 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with one point. In their next game, Serbia will meet second-placed France on September 9, while the Faroe islands will face France.
