TóRSHAVN, Aug. 12, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : France defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Wednesday afternoon.
The result put the French second in Group 7 with 13 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with one point. In their next game, France will meet Romania on September 5, while the Faroe islands will face Austria.
