GRAZ, Sep. 5, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Austria defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Austrians third in Group 7 with 10 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with one point. In their next game, Austria will meet Romania on September 9, while the Faroe islands will face Lithuania.
