LARNACA, Oct. 10, 2009 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : Cyprus defeated Bulgaria by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Bulgarians third in Group 8 with 11 points. Cyprus is fourth with 9 points. In their last game, Bulgaria will meet Georgia on October 14, while Cyprus will face Italy.
