ROTTERDAM, Oct. 11, 2008 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 (European Qualifiers) : The Netherlands defeated Iceland by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2010 FIFA World Cup on Saturday night.
The result put the Dutch top of Group 9 with 6 points. Iceland is bottom with one point. In their next game, the Netherlands will meet Norway on October 15, while Iceland will face Macedonia.
