SAN JOSé, Jun. 18, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (American Qualifiers) : Costa Rica defeated Panama by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Fourth Round) on Tuesday night.
The result put the Costa Ricans second in the group with 11 points. Panama is 5th with 6 points. In their next game, Costa Rica will meet group leaders the United States on September 6, while Panama will face Jamaica.
