SAN JOSé, Sep. 6, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (American Qualifiers) : Costa Rica defeated the United States by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Fourth Round) on Friday night.
The result put the Costa Ricans top of the group with 14 points. USA is second with 13 points. In their next game, Costa Rica will meet Jamaica on September 10, while the United States will face Mexico.
