GEORGETOWN, Oct. 7, 2011 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (American Qualifiers) : Suriname defeated the Cayman Islands by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Friday night.
The result put the Surinamese second in Group A with 7 points. The Cayman Islands is bottom with no points. In their next game, Suriname will meet third-placed the Dominican Republic on October 11, while the Cayman Islands will face El Salvador.
