SAN CRISTOBAL, Oct. 7, 2011 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (American Qualifiers) : El Salvador defeated the Dominican Republic by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Friday afternoon.
The result put the Salvadorans top of Group A with 9 points. The Dominican Republic is third with one point. In their next game, El Salvador will meet the Cayman Islands on October 11, while the Dominican Republic will face Suriname.
