PARAMARIBO, Oct. 11, 2011 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (American Qualifiers) : The Dominican Republic defeated Suriname by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup on Tuesday night.
The result put the Surinamese second in Group A with 7 points. The Dominican Republic is third with 4 points. In their next game, Suriname will meet group leaders El Salvador on November 11, while the Dominican Republic will face the Cayman Islands.
