MONTEVIDEO, Jun. 10, 2012 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (South American Qualifiers) : Uruguay defeated Peru by a score of 4-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Sunday afternoon.
The result put the Uruguayans second in the group with 11 points. Peru is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Uruguay will meet Colombia on September 7, while Peru will face Venezuela.
