QUITO, Oct. 12, 2012 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (South American Qualifiers) : Ecuador defeated Chile by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Friday afternoon.
The result put the Ecuadorians second in the group with 16 points. Chile is 5th with 12 points. In their next game, Ecuador will meet Venezuela on October 16, while Chile will face Argentina.
