LIMA, Jun. 7, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (South American Qualifiers) : Peru defeated Ecuador by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Friday night.
The result put the Ecuadorians third in the group with 20 points. Peru is 6th with 14 points. In their next game, Ecuador will meet group leaders Argentina on June 11, while Peru will face Colombia.
