PUERTO ORDAZ, Jun. 11, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 (South American Qualifiers) : Uruguay defeated Venezuela by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Qualifying Tournament) on Tuesday night.
The result put the Uruguayans 5th in the group with 16 points. Venezuela is 6th with 16 points. In their next game, Uruguay will meet Peru on September 6, while Venezuela will face Chile.
